Clients Shine In The BNB Business Pitch Competition
In partnership with BNB Bank, BCNA was pleased to nominate 10 outstanding BCNA clients – all of whose small businesses had faced significant challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic – for a Business Pitch competition that was held via Zoom this summer.
The Elevator Pitch Competition was part of the Small Business COVID-19 Recovery Program for Minority and/or Women Owned Businesses in New York City, and awarded $5,000 grants to the 5 top presenters as well as $250 grants to the five runner ups.

Applicants were required to be a minority and/or woman-owned small business with less than 10 employees, with less than $1M in revenue, open for business, founded prior to January 1, 2019, located in the five boroughs of NYC, and able to demonstrate that their revenue was down by at least 25% after March.

Congratulations to our five clients whose businesses were selected for the $5000 award: Buunni Café, Harlem Chocolate Factory, Momo Crave, Wandering Barman, and Heights Hand Therapy. The 5 runner ups, who also made excellent presentations and received $250 grants, were the owners of 1st Stop Wireless, ESC Cabling, Flowers and Flores, Marisna Day Care, and RNS Laundry.
